Job Description
Title: Infrastructure Engineer/ Windows
Key skills strong Windows IIS Azure and AWS. Hybrid role
As an Infrastructure Engineer the purpose of this role will be to assist in the sound delivery of technical services for Solix and its clients. You will be part of a team supporting on premise and hosted environments that delivers services to Solix users and their clients.
This position will assist in designing architecture installation and maintenance of the infrastructure and environments including but not limited to the following: web ftp and MSSQL servers Exchange and cloud based service.
This position assists with designing implementation monitoring and performing optimization of all infrastructure components consisting of onpremise cloud and virtual
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist team to build deploy and administer Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers IIS configuration including setting up web/ftp sites user access management and App pool management.
Support the management maintenance and architecture of storage provides disk space management and LUN assignment.
Assist the implementation and support of virtual environments using VMware and Cloud Services (Amazon/AWS and Azure)
Support configuration maintenance which includes: identifying testing and applying all pertinent service packs and fixes and applying security patches based on vendor notifications.
Maintain backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions. Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and conduct tests. Implement replication technologies for seamless failover.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree plus at least two years of related experience; or at least four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelors degree in Computer Technology or related technical discipline is highly desired.
Microsoft VMware or Cisco certifications is a plus.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Advance knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 IIS Clustering and Exchange.
Advance Knowledge of VMware virtualization platform.
Advance understanding of storage technologies including SAN iSCSI LUNs.
Extensive experience with cloud technologies; Compute storage load balancer traffic gateways and security.
Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption.
Experience with traffic management such as load balancers and web filtering appliances.
Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption.
Experience with using utilities for Backup System Patching and monitoring tools.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP Routing and Server Security).
Strong technical and computer skills.
Ability to coordinate day to day activities for assigned projects.
Ability to respectfully communicate with team and project stakeholders and to effectively collaborate within and across teams.
Must be an innovate thinker.
Strong customer focus with sense of urgency.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be a fast learner with a genuine interest in learning new technologies and skills.
