Job Description
Client is a highlyrated boutique litigation firm with offices in Morristown New Jersey and Manhattan. The firm specializes in representing insurers in complex coverage and recovery actions focusing on firstparty and thirdparty insurance disputes. Renowned for handling fraud and extracontractual liability cases FCOMH serves some of the most respected Fortune 500 insurance underwriters in state and federal courts nationwide.
Role Description:This is a fulltime onsite role for a Commercial Litigation Attorney at FCOMH. The successful candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in complex commercial litigation (note: this is not an insurance defense role). The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a wide range of litigation tasks including:
- Conducting legal research.
- Drafting motions and legal memoranda.
- Representing clients in courts and trials.
- Conducting depositions.
- Briefing and arguing appeals.
- Providing legal counsel on complex insurance coverage matters.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
- Skills:
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions.
- Experience with trials depositions and appellate briefing.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical and problemsolving expertise.
- Education:
- Toplevel academic credentials (generally in the top third of law school class).
- Licenses:
- Admission to the New Jersey and New York bars (additional jurisdictions are a plus but not required).
