Job Description

Regional Manager for Gauteng North and South
Location: Elandsfontein Alberton
Salary: R813000 PA CTC

Job Purpose

To manage and oversee the Business Unit in its entirety ensuring profitability growth and revenue generation through strategic planning execution support and team leadership.

Key Performance Areas

Sales Performance and Support (25%)

  • Implement brand awareness initiatives aligned with marketing strategy.
  • Manage claim rates and escalate exceptions as necessary.
  • Evaluate and implement effective sales techniques to boost volumes.
  • Monitor and manage sales activities and performance of Business Representatives.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and customer visits to assess service levels and ensure corrective actions.
  • Build and manage relationships with channel partners and identify potential partnerships.

Key Indicators:

  • Successful implementation of brand initiatives.
  • Achieved sales volume and profitability targets.
  • Customer satisfaction and SLA compliance.

Supply Chain and Logistics Management (20%)

  • Manage distribution and reverse logistics processes.
  • Oversee warehouse operations in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure accurate monthly stock counts and address variances.
  • Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.

Key Indicators:

  • Compliance with operational policies.
  • Achieved operational targets and minimized stock losses.

Business Development and Growth (10%)

  • Develop strategies for retention and growth to optimize sales performance.
  • Identify new business and crossselling opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations on product enhancements and assess market share positioning.

Key Indicators:

  • Successful business retention and growth strategies.
  • New opportunities identified and acted upon.

Governance (15%)

  • Monitor controls and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a risk register and monitor audit findings.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation and internal policies.

Key Indicators:

  • Policies and procedures implemented.
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Management (10%)

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and address customer complaints promptly.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations in alignment with SLAs.

Key Indicators:

  • Timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance with agreements and SLAs.

People Management (10%)

  • Conduct performance appraisals and identify development areas.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and address employee relations issues fairly.

Key Indicators:

  • Performance objectives achieved.
  • Development plans implemented.
  • HR compliance maintained.

Financial Management (10%)

  • Contribute to budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and explore costsaving initiatives.

  • Budget compliance.
  • Costsaving initiatives successfully implemented.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing Management or a related field (NQF 7).

Advantageous:

  • Bachelors Honours Degree in Sales and Marketing Management or a related field (NQF 8).

Experience

Minimum:

  • 68 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years at a supervisory level.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite SAP ERP systems Salesforce and jobspecific software.
  • Indepth knowledge of relevant sales and marketing processes and practices.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Proactive and actionoriented.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning organizing and people management abilities.
  • Customerfocused with strong relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written).
