Job Description
POSITION: Data Engineer
LOCATION: Jacksonville FL
WORK TYPE: FullTime Onsite
Position Overview
We are looking for a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Power BI and PowerApps to design build and maintain robust data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to ensure data is efficiently collected processed and made available for actionable insights and reporting.
Please note that this is a fulltime onsite position. No relocation packages will be offered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration and ETL Development
- Design and manage ETL workflows to ensure accurate clean and timely data processing.
- Integrate new data sources into the existing data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize data flow and system performance.
Power BI Development
- Create deploy and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Optimize existing data models for improved performance and reliability.
- Apply best practices in data visualization to enhance user experience and engagement.
PowerApps Development
- Develop and maintain business applications using PowerApps to improve operational processes.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and design userfriendly solutions tailored to departmental needs.
- Ensure applications align with business objectives and meet performance expectations.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Deliver actionable insights through indepth data analysis and reporting.
- Enhance and update reports based on evolving business needs and user feedback.
- Monitor dashboards and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaboration and Support
- Integrate external data sources and work with thirdparty vendors to enhance data capabilities.
- Provide training and ongoing support for Power BI and PowerApps to endusers.
- Develop documentation and training materials to encourage user adoption and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX Power Query data modeling) and PowerApps.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
- Excellent communication problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and external vendors.
- Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloudbased data platforms preferred.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and user experience design principles preferred.
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC Badge (Transportation Worker Identification Card).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
