Job Description

Overview:

This position is responsible for efficiently managing payment disputes and chargebacks through data entry research and preparation of defense documents. The role requires strong attention to detail the ability to analyze transaction data and excellent documentation skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping and effective chargeback responses.

Responsibilities:

Intake (Data Entry)

  • Use payment references to locate disputes in Adyen and retrieve relevant dispute information.

  • Update the master spreadsheet with key details including:
    • Dispute Reference

    • Reason

    • Card Type

    • Reason Code

    • Dispute Date

    • Due Date (entered as two calendar days before the respond by date; if the due date falls on a weekend adjust it to the preceding Friday)

    • Seller

    • Order URL

  • Use the customer email and gathered data to locate the order in Houston adding the order URL and Seller ID to the master spreadsheet.

Chargeback Response

  • Assess the validity of chargebacks by evaluating claims for potential fraud duplicates or preaccepted scenarios for specific sellers.

  • For invalid chargebacks craft a defense document that complies with Adyens documentation requirements.

  • Conduct detailed transaction research using Adyen and CP tools to:
    • Verify purchase timelines and related events (e.g. receipt issuance customer checkins).

    • Collect evidence such as screenshots and additional transactional details.

  • Summarize findings in a clear organized defense document supported by proof of the transactions legitimacy.

Qualifications:

  • At least SHS Graduate (new curriculum) or HS Graduate (old curriculum)

  • At least 1 year of continuous customer service experience in a BPO company

  • Must have excellent command of the English language with neutral or American accent

  • Professional courteous and responsive customer service and phone skills

  • Experience in dispute resolution payment processing or related fields is preferred.

  • Proficiency in payment platforms such as Adyen and order management systems like Houston is a plus.

  • Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.

  • Strong data entry and analytical skills.

  • Willing to work onsite

  • Willing to work the night shift
