Job Description
Assistant Laboratory Technician Cementing
Location : Kuwait
Job Description / Responsibilities :
1 Assist in conducting chemical and physical analyses of oil and gas samples to ensure compliance with industry standards (API ASTM).
2 Support the creation of cement slurry designs based on oilwell conditions.
3 Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes and centrifuges ensuring accurate results.
4 Provide basic technical support during additive selection and fluid design.
5 Assist in performing quality assurance tests on products and prepare laboratory reports for service delivery.
6 Maintain and update the database of slurry tests and designs used in the field. Maintain proper records.
7 Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for customers.
8 Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
9 Ensure laboratory equipment is clean and wellmaintained.
10 Dispose of laboratory waste following environmental and safety regulations and report to superior any noncompliance.
11 Assist in identifying and mitigating safety or quality concerns.
12 Adhere to Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and maintain appropriate safety training.
13 Communicate effectively with Client Support Labs operating locations and product centers.
14 Provide support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions as needed.
15 Participate in Service Quality Meetings and contribute to performance improvement action plans.
Education / Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field is preferred.
Minimum35 years of experience in a laboratory environment preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Familiarity with API and ASTM operating/testing procedures is a plus.
Certification as a Laboratory Analyst or equivalent is advantageous.
Eligibility Criteria :
Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to prioritize tasks manage workloads and meet deadlines.
