Engineer - Electrical Design

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and welldefined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
• Designs and develops electrical systems and components for various projects.
• Creates and modifies electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
• Conducts load calculations and performs electrical system analysis.
• Collaborates with crossfunctional teams to ensure integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepares technical reports and documentation for project deliverables.
• Assists in the development of project specifications and cost estimates.
• Participates in site visits to gather information and assess existing electrical installations.
• Ensures compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards in all designs.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical engineering department.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required; Masters degree preferred
• Minimum of 35 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Proficient in at least one of the load calculation software such as AMTECH and ETAP
• Skilled in using one or more lighting calculation software (e.g. AGi32 DIALux)
• Proficient in use of Revit and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Navisworks is required
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D modeling software
• Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant industry standards
• Knowledge of power distribution systems lighting design and control systems
• Familiarity with energyefficient design practices and LEED certification requirements
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with crossfunctional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as needed
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies
