Job Description
The Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform group is a vital part of Visas Technology organization. Our mission is to provide the technology and processes necessary to manage Visas data assets and deliver valuable information products and services to our customers. We ensure that Visas core data assets are secure and highquality. Additionally we deliver a reliable and scalable data platform as a service empowering Visa and our partners to innovate datadriven business products and services swiftly and efficiently thus leading the digital payment industry.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our team responsible for the design and implementation of a largescale multitenant Kubernetes platform. As a member of our team you will gain handson experience working with cuttingedge technologies and contribute to the development and maintenance of our Kubernetes infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design implementation and maintenance of a multitenant Kubernetes platform.
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop features and improve platform scalability reliability and security.
Participate in code reviews testing and debugging to ensure highquality software delivery.
Work with crossfunctional teams to integrate the platform with other services and applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JDMD)
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Golang Java Scala C or Python.
- Strong understanding of Linux and distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes or K8s is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with container orchestration technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
- CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) or CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certifications are nice to haves.
