Were seeking an outcome and digitally focused Product Manager within our research division Omdia to provide maternity cover in supporting and developing the Omdia research platform. The role is core to us achieving our ambition of creating a bestinclass platform for our customers and adopting an agile test and learn approach to product management.
You will work with colleagues across the research business as well as product and technology teams to maintain and enhance the capabilities and optimization of the Omdia platform. You will also ensure any user information and product collateral on the platform remains current and relevant.
As our organisational structure is matrixbased the ability to build relationships and work with a variety of stakeholders is a key part of the role.
The role suits a proactive goaloriented candidate who thrives in complicated but ambitious organisations and is enthusiastic about understanding customer problems and solving them.
Responsibilities
The best fit for this role will be someone who has experience working within a customercentric digital product function that applies a test and learn approach to development. The role covers the following responsibilities and areas of focus:
- Customercentricity: engage with and understand the needs of your customers and use this to make decisions on where to focus and what to prioritise
- Development backlog: prioritise and manage the backlog to ensure it supports BAU and new feature development
- Product portfolio management: ensure products and content are accurately and effectively presented on the platform applying fixes in the CMS or development work and automating processes where possible
- Continuous incremental improvement: own a roadmap that is focused on improving discoverability of content site speed and UX focused design
- User engagement: work with the marketing team and build new features and functionality to increase customer engagement and encourage prospects to register
- Optimisation: own the optimisation strategy for the platform and review core customer and prospect journeys to identify barriers to conversion and customer goal attainment
- Data & analytics: analyse site performance and customer and prospect engagement to understand performance and drive decision making
- Stakeholder engagement: work closely with product managers technology teams and Omdia business stakeholders to develop new solutions on the platform
- Communication: ensure Omdia nonproduct colleagues have visibility of fixes and new developments in the pipeline
Qualifications :
- Digital product management: experience managing a portfolio of digital products and services
- Platform management: experience managing digital platforms to support BAU drive efficiency and optimise discoverability of content through iterative development
- Digital best practices: indepth knowledge of best practices in user experience SEO engagement funnels and conversion
- Analytics: expertise in web analytics and other analytics and reporting tools
- A highly organised approach: resourceful flexible and actionoriented with experience driving focus and prioritisation in a fastpaced environment
- Commercial acumen: understand revenue drivers and how user engagement on the platform contributes to them
- Decisionmaking: having the confidence to make quick decisions based on the available data and move forward at pace in an environment of ambiguity
- Comms and visibility: effective at managing expectations and communications (written and verbal) to all levels and disciplines in the organisation
- Collaboration: experience working in a matrixbased organization or building relationships and trust across a range of teams and functions and managing expectations
- Operational understanding of research or data businesses is an advantage
