We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with indepth knowledge of banking products digital banking and fintech. This role will be crucial in driving business growth by identifying and implementing solutions that meet both client and organizational needs. The ideal candidate should be adept at bridging the gap between business goals and technology solutions ensuring the successful execution of projects that enhance our digital banking offerings and fintech capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Elicitation: Engage with stakeholders to identify and analyze and document business requirements for banking and digital banking products.
- Solution Design: Translate business needs into a detailed functional solution ensuring alignment with the organizations objectives and capabilities. Design functional specifications to represent functional and nonfunctional requirements aligning to industry best practices including user stories acceptance criteria and other business analysis techniques.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the client IT development teams and thirdparty vendors to design and implement effective banking and fintech solutions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving existing solutions and processes. Recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends regulatory changes and emerging technologies in banking digital banking and fintech to ensure the solutions remain competitive and compliant.
- Stakeholder Communication & Management: Facilitate workshops meetings and presentations to communicate solution scope related findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree BSc in IT/ Computer Science / Management Information Systems or relevant professional qualification. A Masters degree relevant certifications (e.g. CBAP PMP) or Finance related qualifications is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Business Analyst with at least 3 years focused on banking products digital banking or fintech.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of retail and corporate banking products digital banking platforms and fintech innovations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to perform detailed analysis and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Diagraming tools JIRA Confluence and other related software. Familiarity with data analysis process mapping and SQL or other database query languages is a plus.
- Project Management: Experience managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives within the banking or financial services sector.
- Knowledge of mobile and online banking technologies payment systems and customer onboarding processes.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in the banking industry particularly those affecting digital banking and fintech.
- Experience with system integrations API development and data migration projects.
