Job Description

The Systems Administrator for the Arizona Department of Public Safetys Digital Forensic Lab (DFL) will perform various duties including computer systems administration domain administration and network engineering. This role requires a dynamic individual who can analyze user needs design appropriate system modifications and manage hardware and software solutions effectively. The position demands expertlevel knowledge in managing and configuring network hardware as well as providing support for various systems and user management tasks.

  • Manage and administer computer systems and networks

  • Maintain digital backups and upgrade domain/file servers
  • Provide support for servers SAN lab network and client workstations
  • Collaborate with Certified Forensic Computer Examiners to resolve issues
  • Plan and manage technical projects related to networks and information security
  • Create and maintain network mapping and documentation
  • Testifying in court regarding the integrity of server data

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in system administration and network engineering
  • Previous experience working on government projects
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements

  • Fouryear degree from an accredited college or university in computer information systems or a related field
  • Two years of computer administration experience in a large workforce environment (1000 employees) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in relevant system administration and network engineering roles
  • Proven experience working on government projects
