Our mainframe team is a technology enabler for the business by providing a strong resilient and stable platform to host and enable business innovation/growth in our lines of business. The Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer is responsible for all phases of CICS engineering application support system and software maintenance and CICS related operation functions. In order to be considered for this role you must be comfortable working with CICS in an enterprise scale as well as indepth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning debugging and dump analysis.

Required experience:

  • A minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer
  • Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment.
  • Expert knowledge of JCL. Job Control Language.
  • Knowledge of SMP/E software upgrade and maintenance
  • In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions
  • Experience with implementation & customization dynamic transaction routing etc.
  • Ability to perform problem determination dump analysis and performance tuning
  • Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with ROSCOE BMC ControlM BMC ControlD and IBM TSO
  • Knowledge of COBOL to support application developers
