Job Description

Prime Function:

 

  • To assist the Team Leader Accounts Payable and Director of Finance in efficient and timely collection of Payables by providing a reliable and accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts cash etc.
  • Assist the F&B Controller for all the reports
  • To assist F&B Controller  with operation of Cost Control Store rooms and Receiving and to assist Management in keeping the cost of food beverage and other supplies to the minimum
  • Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Ibis Chennai OMR should be brought to the attention of the Management.
  • I am responsible for INTERREACT
  • Key Responsibilities:

     

    People Management

     

  • Establish and maintain seamless coordination & cooperation with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation productivity and guest service.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of departments objectives and policies.
  •  

    Financial Management

     

  • Assist in the determination of fiscal requirements and the compilation of budgetary recommendations.
  • Identify optimal cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  •  

    Operational Management

     

  • Supervise coordinate and participate in accounting tasks to settle guest accounts receivable in accordance to the credit policy.
  • Assist in approving various transactions including refunds abilitytopay allowances discounts and writeoffs.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis setting forth progress adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions
  • Carry out all Food and Beverage inventories.
  • Assist the F&B Controller in all cost related accounts for Food and Beverages.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses setting forth progress adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

    Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment:

     

  •  Ensures that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy
  • Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment (s)he uses
  • Applies the hotels security regulations (in case of fire etc)
  • Respects the hotels commitments to the Environment Charter (saving energy recycling sorting waste etc).

Qualifications :

  • 12 years of experience in developing sales and service relationships is ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships.
  • Confident user of Microsoft 360 Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint.
  • Skillful at listening understanding and communicating effectively.


Additional Information :

experience is an asset
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Fluency in English additional languages are a plus
