Estimating Lead Transportation Projects

AECOM is seeking an Estimating Lead to be based in Sacramento CA. 

JOB SUMMARY: 

In this role youll prepare cost estimates on Rail/Transit Projects. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Manages the cost estimating group in the development of all capital cost estimates for the clients from planning conceptual level to final design and construction cost estimates.
• Facilitates the development of information used to develop cost estimates with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports the development of the biannual Programmatic Business Plan capital cost estimates Program Baselines and Project Update Reports.
• Supports the review of Contractor estimates and claims.
• Develop policies and procedures for programmatic cost estimating.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• BA/BS 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 2 years of leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Knowledge of all design and construction disciplines means and methods used on transit infrastructure work in general.
• Experience in database driven estimating software (Timberline Heavy Bid etc.) as well as electronic quantity surveying systems. 
• Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of estimating. 
• Mega program experience
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Construction Science/Management or Quantity Surveying
