Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Legal

  • Consistently achieve all delivery targets (e.g. tons, products, services)
  • Ensure all work is met through quality results (agreed standards, quality, quantity and due dates)
  • Cost awareness and control
  • Resources utilization and efficiency through optimizing available resources and contained cost
  • Consistently achieve all HSE targets
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples
  • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment and tools for any defects
  • Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols
  • Compile laboratory test data
  • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
  • Calibrate, validate or maintain laboratory equipment
  • Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations
  • Assist to supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions
  • Receive, inspect and record raw materials
  • Report questionable test results and assist with investigation
  • Assist to perform validations or transfers of analytical methods in accordance with applicable policies or guidelines
  • Ensure lab cleanliness and maintaining safety standards
  • Identify quality problems and recommend potential solutions
  • Assist to monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols
  • Train other analysts to perform laboratory procedures and assays
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Participate in internal assessments and audits as required
  • Assist with evaluation of analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved
  • Assist with writing technical reports or documentation (e.g. deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses, etc)
  • Assist with revision of data from contract laboratories to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Identify and report and take corrective action to any defects or unsafe equipment
  • Strict adherence to safety rules and procedures
