Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a proficient WAN Support Associate to become part of our network operations team. The ideal candidate should possess an engineering background with a specialization in networking preferably holding a CCNA certification. This position entails the monitoring troubleshooting and upkeep of our global WAN infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and assistance for our business operations.
Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor WAN performance using network monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot basic network problems such as routing and switching issues to maintain smooth network operations.
- ISP Coordination: Collaborate closely with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to address connectivity issues and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Incident Management: Manage and respond to network incidents following established protocols to minimize downtime.
- Support: Offer Level 1 and Level 2 support for global WAN operations escalating unresolved issues to higher technical teams when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate records of incidents resolutions and standard operating procedures for future reference.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training sessions to enhance troubleshooting skills and improve processes.
- Compliance: Ensure that all network support activities comply with organizational security policies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Computer Science Information Technology or related field preferred).
- 13 years of experience in network operations and support.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Basic knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies.
- CCNA certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 support environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including night shifts and weekends.
