We are looking for a motivated and highly qualified candidate to apply for a predoctoral fellowship under the PFIS (Predoctoral Training Contracts in Health Research) call of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII).
Project Title: Precision medicine approaches in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome: discovery of novel diagnostic/predictive biomarkers and therapeutic targets based on gutmicrobiotakidney crosstalk.
Requirements
- You cannot be a candidate if you have previously received a predoctoral training grant for more than one year or if you hold a doctoral degree.
- You must be enrolled in an officially accredited doctoral program for theacademic year or admitted/preadmitted to a doctoral program for theacademic year at a Spanish university which can be accredited after the application.
- Preferably an average grade of the university degree transcript >8 (scale 110).
- For degrees obtained abroad it will be essential to have the grade conversion to the Spanish system on a scale of 110.
- Other merits such as publications conferences and stays abroad will be valued.
- Essential previous experience in biomedical research especially in areas related to nephrology gut microbiota and biomarker identification. Skills in molecular and cellular biology techniques (qPCR immunohistochemistry flow cytometry cell culture...) data analysis and the ability to work in a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a doctoral thesis within the context of the mentioned project.
- Actively participate in the design execution and analysis of experiments.
- Collaborate with the research team in publishing results and presenting at conferences.
- Contribute to the development of patient and populationoriented research through transfer activities.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: Immediate
- Gross annual salary: According toInstituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) project fellowshipscales.
- Contract:Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
- The hiring is contingent upon the candidate obtaining the fellowship.
