Our group is looking to hire a Predoctoral Researcher to join our lab right away contributing to one of our lines of research on the study of multiple sclerosis pathogenesis and search for new therapeutic approaches.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in health sciences (e.g. biology pharmacy biochemistry veterinary medicine etc.)
- An official university Masters degree leading to a doctorate
- Animal research experimentation licence (levels B C and D)
- A cutoff mark of at least 7.5 both in the degree and the Masters degree
- Fluency in Catalan Spanish and English (communication skills and fluency in both written and spoken)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- An organized and methodical person with high motivation and initiative
- Previous experience of at least 6 months in a research laboratory in addition to the Bachelors and Masters theses
Desired:
- Experience in flow cytometry histopathological studies cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Design of the experiments.
- Be responsible for and perform the experiments (development and followup of the animal model flow cytometry histopathological studies cell culture and molecular biology techniques).
- Statistical analysis and interpretation of the data.
- Collaboration in the writing of scientific articles.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week
- Starting date: January 2025
- Gross annual salary: It will depend on the grant call in which the funding is obtained. First year 19000 second and third year 20000 and fourth year 24500 (Salary is consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
Contract: Temporary. One year extendable up to four years
