Hiire is helping one of its clients to hire the first IT/OT Manager to oversee the operations of a new factory in the north of Portugal.
About the Role
Are you passionate about bridging IT and OT to drive operational excellence As an IT/OT Manager youll lead the charge in ensuring seamless IT/OT operations supporting critical manufacturing systems and aligning with global standards. This role offers the chance to innovate solve complex challenges and make a tangible impact on a dynamic production environment.
What Youll Do
Lead and Manage IT/OT Operations:
Oversee IT/OT infrastructure including servers networks communication platforms and access control systems;
Ensure business continuity by maintaining backups managing licenses and supporting ERP systems;
Manage wired and wireless network traffic to meet site needs.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Optimize the performance of IT/OT systems to ensure uninterrupted production;
Maintain and enhance security in compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR regulations;
Lead training initiatives for users with varying levels of IT/OT expertise.
Collaborate and Innovate:
Represent the FEL Site in global IT/OT forums;
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of IT/OT solutions;
Implement global IT/OT projects locally with precision.
Strategic and Operational Oversight:
Develop and manage IT/OTrelated budgets and forecasts;
Create documentation reports and procedures to enhance operational transparency;
Ensure compliance with global and local regulations including cleanroom standards for production.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronic Mechatronic IT Engineering or Software Development;
5 years of ITrelated experience particularly in manufacturing;
Strong project management skills especially in IT project implementation;
Handson experience with SQL and CCNA certification.
It would be a plus if you have:
Knowledge of manufacturing protocols (e.g. Factory Talk OPC Server);
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST ISO27001);
Experience with industrial computers HMI interfaces and PLC systems;
Expertise in virtual environments like vSphere and HyperV.
