We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to support medium to large scale engineering and construction projects. This person will take responsibility for projects of a diverse nature and provide support for clients in the execution of their most ambitious undertakings. The right person will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication and writing skills. This a hybrid role that will be based out of our Vancouver office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carrying out multidisciplinary coordination and followup with our clients in the realization of special largescale projects
- Ability to engage with field presence and good communication skills with construction personal
- Working closely with Project Managers Project Engineers and other professional staff on project coordination tasks including preparing engineering drawings and documents reports and memos preparation calculations project scheduling proposal preparation client interaction construction inspection and quality control and assurance
- Proactively contributing to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers
- Identifying and monitor issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones
- Liaise with clients governments regulatory authorities and other project stakeholders to guide projects through the approval processes and effective information exchange
- Perform a variety of cost/budget studies and research assignments requiring analysis and interpretation of data.
- Monitor progress and performance against established terms of reference and Work Plans.
- Prepare coordinate and review contracts Work Plans reports and documents. Obtain signoffs as required.
- Manage the process of calls for tenders awarding and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts
- Assembling and delivering construction contracts and professional scopes of work
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- University Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or other applicable discipline ( Environmental Mechanical)
- Registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EIT) or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and project coordination for Civil and Municipal Infrastructure projects particularly linear water & wastewater conveyance
- Excellent communications skills in English (both spoken and written)
- Excellent organizational analytical and problemsolving abilities with exceptional initiative and attention to detail.
- Skills in work organization priority management and an interest in teamwork in an environment that can change direction quickly
- Proficiency in project management software (asset).
- Sound professional judgment initiative and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast passed deadline oriented and dynamic environment.
- Ability to successfully and collaboratively work within a team environment and across disciplines as well as work independently.
- PMP certification (asset)
- Knowledge in AutoCAD/Civil3D (asset)
- Knowledge of MMCD and CCA designation are significant assets
The expected salary for this position is from $80000 to $85000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
