Sightline Climate accelerates the deployment of climate tech solutions through industry leading data analytics and research. Sightline s subscription intelligence platform gives investors corporates and governments the insights they need to confidently build and finance the new climate economy. Sightline Climate also produces CTVC the industryleading newsletter read by 60000 climate leaders.
We re looking for data entry specialists to join our team who will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our climate tech investment datasets. The relational data created is the heart of the product used by investors and corporates to deploy capital in the shift to net zero. The ideal candidate is a selfstarter who is passionate about data accuracy detailoriented and possesses strong analytical skills.
The Role
- Collection Collect climate tech data including deals company investors and projects data to maintain and update our investment database.
- Maintaining Ensuring data points for investors and companies on our platform are updated according to new activity and/or client requests. Identify gaps and work with the business development team to onboard new data sets.
- Expanding datasets Identify gaps and work with the internal data team to onboard new data sets. This includes working with our inbuilt automated tools to upload market maps pdf reports and other data sources to extract relevant datasets
The Essentials
- Bachelor s degree in relevant field (finance economics accounting environmental engineering)
- 2 years experience on investment and finance data sets collection cleaning and highlevel analysis of funding data asset classes investor types
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail meticulous with data handling and collection
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in and excitement for learning new climate technologies and innovations
- Desire to thrive in an earlystage startup environment and constantly learn new datasets and processes
- Amenable to work 23x in a week in BGC office
- Willing to work for a day shift/midshift schedule (9 am 6 pm Manila Time).
A Plus
- Working understanding of climate tech sectors. Have worked in these industries in the past or have taken courses/modules on them
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured data sets
