Job Description
Were looking for a Senior Product Manager to join Procores Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative toprated global platform. Were a customercentric group that encompasses engineering product product design and data security and business systems.
The Product Manager will join our Building Information Modeling (BIM) team and lead our Design Coordination product initiatives. In this role you will oversee the development of our Coordination Issues tool across our internal platform and partner ecosystem including managing our .NET plugins for various desktop applications. You will conduct market research perform competitive analysis engage in customer discovery and manage the development release and promotion of compelling and differentiated products. Your goal is to provide customers with features that enable them to review collaborate and proactively manage a projects design documents (both 2D and 3D) to minimize rework and waste during construction.
As a Product Manager youll partner closely with the Director and Senior PM to align strategy initiatives and prioritizations for the BIM team. Additionally this role will require significant crossteam collaboration coordinating directly with both the Document Management and Platform teams to align crosstool development and integrations. Clear communication and expectation management at executive and team levels will be critical to the success of this role ensuring alignment of the GTM strategies eliminating overlaps in development efforts and maximizing productivity to deliver value to our customers using agile methodologies.
Studies show that nearly 60% of all jobsite injuries are caused by rework which could likely be prevented with better design management tools. Additionally it is estimated that the US disposes of over 50 million tons of new construction waste in landfills each yearequivalent to over 136 Empire State Buildings of waste. This position will report to the Director of Product and be located in our Pune office. Were looking for someone to join our team immediately.
What youll do:
- Influence a team of mobile web and .NET engineers and UX designer as well as numerous dependent teams across the organization to follow your vision for coordination issues
- Identify and write product requirements by considering outcome potential competitive landscape technical requirements and user experience
- Become immersed in the construction industry syncing with customers and prospects on a weekly basis to understand the diverse challenges they face in order to guide your team in delivering the highest value for our customers and company
- Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinkingrecognize platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once creating strategic leverage for Procore
- Effectively use qualitative and quantitative data analysis to help inform the decisionmaking process
- Collaborate closely with gotomarket teams for marketing pricing and packaging alignment
What were looking for:
- 3 years of Product Management experience at a global enterprise SaaS software company preferably working with realtime collaboration products and/or experience in building plugin integrations to Windows applications
- Customercentric approach and experience collaborating and conducting discovery with large enterprise companies
- Experience scaling products and successfully driving their adoption
- Experience collaborating with and influencing crossfunctional and global teams in an agile software development environment
- Experience managing products and rollouts with complex dependencies across multiple autonomous product teams
- Ability to effectively communicate tradeoffs for decisions through strong written and verbal skills
- Strong analysis and synthesis skills demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components structured into platformfirst solutions
- Strong listening skills; Product Management is equally about inquiring as it is advocating
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering UX Design or a related field is preferred
