Business Analyst: 6A
The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain indepth understanding of customers business strategy processes services roadmap and the context in which the business operates.
Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders across business units to elicit analyze specify and validate their business needs in a collaborative way communicating effectively and efficiently with production managerial and executive teams.
Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
Research reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirementsgathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness consistency comprehensibility feasibility and conformity to standards.
Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Creates process models specifications diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
Develops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
Communicates changes enhancements and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation to project managers sponsors and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
15 years of Industry experience with 10 years as BA.
Well versed with using MS office tools wireframing tools and lifecycle tools such as ADO or JIRA.
Lifesciences experience is a big plus.
Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling daytoday operational requests from the business.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
Strong customer service orientation. Should be able to lead own and coordinate with all stake holders.
Thorough understanding of Enterprise application software development is a must.
Sound understanding of Requirements gathering and elicitation skills. Must be able to drill down toplevel business requirements to a User Story level and document the same using ADO or JIRA.
Should be able to explain the requirements to the team members and assist with clarifications as an SME.
