Work Life Balance:Hybrid. Based out of Northampton or London.

The Role:

The Head of Claims Management will oversee and manage the relationships with the insurers and the thirdparty claims administrators (TPAs) for travel insurance and assistance services. This role involves ensuring efficient claims management compliance with regulations and high levels of customer satisfaction. The individual in this position will collaborate with internal teams insurers vendors and other stakeholders to develop and maintain effective claims management processes ensuring timely and fair resolutions.

What will you do

Leadership & Management:
Lead manage and mentor a team responsible for overseeing insurers and their thirdparty claims administration for travelrelated claims.
Coordinate with insurers and thirdparty claims administrators to ensure effective service delivery including claims processing customer service and resolution management.
Evaluate and improve claims management processes ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Vendor Management:

Develop and manage relationships with the insurers and their thirdparty claims administrators ensuring they adhere to contractual obligations service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
Monitor and assess the insurers and their TPAs performance including regular reporting audits and performance reviews.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements with insurers and TPAs to optimise claims handling and costefficiency.

Claims Process Oversight:
Oversee the endtoend claims process for travel insurance and assistance ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
Implement strategies to enhance claims resolution times and reduce disputes while ensuring fair and transparent processes for all claimants.
Work with TPAs to resolve complex claims or highrisk cases.

Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with local national and international regulations and industry best practices in claims management.
Identify assess and mitigate risks related to claims processing and thirdparty administrators.
Stay uptodate on industry trends changes in travelrelated regulations and technological innovations in claims management.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Liaise with internal departments to address any claimsrelated issues or concerns.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on claims performance trends and areas of concern.
Ensure alignment between Insurers and TPA operations around organisational goals driving a customercentric approach in claims management.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements system automation and claims handling efficiencies.
Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously enhance the claims experience for travel insurance policyholders.
Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies to ensure optimal claims outcomes.

    Essentials:

    • Experience in claims management with experiencein a leadership role overseeing thirdparty administrators in the travel or insurance sector.
    • Strong knowledge of travel insurance products claims processes and relevant industry regulations.
    • Proven experience in vendor management contract negotiation and performance optimization.
    • Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to manage complex claims and stakeholder relationships.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
    • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word).
    • Experience in the travel insurance or assistance industry.
    • Data analysis and reporting skills to monitor claim trends and assess thirdparty performance.
