Job Description

Magnetic head thermalmechanical (TM) design for new products as a part of Hear disk drive (HDD) magnetic head development.

The engineer will be responsible to analyze key TM performances including mechanical deformation stress and device temperature due to all heat sources and mechanical stress factors during magnetic head manufacturing testing and HDD operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and optimize thin film magnetic head TM model and analyze/verify the TM performance.
  • Introduce new TM concepts and improvements into design for new products.
  • Provide the TM design and performance summary package.
  • Work with cross functional teams including head wafer design process backend process and testing teams to fabricate and validate the new design.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

  • Master or higher in Mechanical engineering or related engineering fields
  • Experience in CAD analytical software and numerical simulation
  • Understanding of base thermalmechanical properties including heat transfer mechanical deformation and mechanical stress

PREFERRED:

  • Understanding base thermalmechanical properties of integrated device structure
  • Experience in thermalmechanical simulation  
  • Base understanding of Hard disk drive

SKILLS

  • English proficiency. Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Able to work on the resolution of any issue and to interact with various interdepartmental teams and support organizations.
  • Proficiency with 3D mechanical design software is desirable (Solid works ANSYS AutoCAD).
  • Proficiency with basic electrical design.
  • Technical report and presentation proficiency.
