As a Staff Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure to enable robust datadriven decisionmaking across the organization. Youll work handson with cuttingedge technologies lead complex projects and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable data solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering Leadership
- Lead the design and implementation of highperformance data pipelines and workflows using Databricks on AWS.
- Drive innovation and improvements in data engineering practices and processes across teams.
- Data Warehouse Development & Optimization
- Develop maintain and optimize our data warehouse architecture for performance scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure the warehouse supports business intelligence and machine learning needs.
- ETL Pipeline Development
- Design and build ETL processes to integrate transform and deliver data from multiple sources.
- Ensure ETL jobs are optimized for efficiency accuracy and timeliness.
- Data Quality & Monitoring
- Implement tools and frameworks to monitor and maintain data accuracy consistency and reliability.
- Build automated systems for detecting and resolving data quality issues.
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Partner with crossfunctional teams including software engineers product managers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster professional growth.
- System Performance & Troubleshooting
- Continuously monitor data platform performance identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Act as a technical expert to resolve complex data engineering challenges.
- Documentation & Best Practices
- Create and maintain documentation for pipelines processes and system configurations.
- Advocate for best practices in coding standards data governance and security.
Qualifications :
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in data engineering with significant expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data platforms.
- Proven track record of building and optimizing data pipelines and warehouses.
Technical Proficiency:
- Must Have: Advanced skills in Databricks Cloud Platforms (preferablyAWS or Azure or Google Cloud) SQL Python Spark and ETL tools (preferably Fivetran).
- Nice to Have: Experience with event tracking tools (e.g. Segment).
ProblemSolving:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex data engineering challenges.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).

- Base Salary: $150k $170k
