Prepare schedules and coordinate activities with various electrical projects.
Ensure accurate and apt completion of all protective maintenance duties.
Perform defensive repair and prevention of field, plant and shop for electronic and electrical. systems equipment and devices.
Installation of Electrical Systems
Assemble, install, and maintain electrical equipment such as motors, switchboards, generators, and transformers.
Fit and wire control panels, circuit breakers, and power systems according to technical drawings.
Lay and connect electrical cables and conduits safely and efficiently.
Maintenance and Repairs
Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify faults or malfunctions.
Repair or replace defective parts, including wiring, circuits, and electrical fixtures.
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Testing and Commissioning
Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications.
Use testing devices like multimeters, insulation testers, and continuity testers for diagnostics.
Document test results and make necessary adjustments or repairs based on findings.
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints
Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and diagrams to guide installations and repairs.
Ensure that all work aligns with the specified design and complies with technical standards.
Compliance and Safety
Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Report and address safety hazards or equipment irregularities promptly.
Equipment Assembly and Fabrication
Assemble electrical equipment, including busbars, control panels, and enclosures.
Perform basic fabrication tasks, such as cutting, bending, or shaping materials for installations.
Modify and retrofit existing systems to meet updated specifications.
Worksite Coordination
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other tradespeople on installation or repair projects.
Plan and organize work to meet project deadlines and minimize disruption.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and challenges.
