Adheres to priorities and deadlines; completes work within scheduled time frames. Provide leadership as an Interim Director of Nursing Services when a center is in the process of hiring and/or training a DNS. Provide mentoring to Directors of Nursing Services. Provide leadership and support to centers where there is need for more guidance and assistance and/or for longer periods of time than can be provided by the Rehab/Skilled Consultant. Provide consultation interpretation assistance guidance and problem solving services to center staff Regional Vice Presidents administrators directors of nursing services and other National Campus staff. Develop and provide training during assignments. Assist nursing staff to coordinate provision of services with other disciplines to meet resident needs and to provide safe effective holistic care within regulations and guidelines. Throughout the assignment provide consultation and assistance to center staff on development and implementation of QAPI processes in partnership with the Quality consultant. Maintain knowledge of current information and practices in the nursing field and longterm care. Ability to work as an interdisciplinary team member. Travel to centers to work 100% of the time. Oncall 24 hours a day while on assignment. Provide crisis management. Two years experience as a director of nursing in long term care. Prior experience with Good Samaritan is a plus. Skills/Abilities: Nursing supervision consultation and training skills required. Strong leadership skills. Ability to problem solve. Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing home regulations survey process and writing and implementing plans of correction. Comments:Must be willing to work floor when staffing gap arises if no other options are available. What knowledge skills or certifications does this contractor need (ICD10 coding etc.) To oversee the nursing department that may consist of family resident concerns. QAPI and Infection Control oversee for nursing audit. Health Surveys and preparing staff and ensuring the department is ready. Overseeing any nursing issues that may include incidents med errors and etc. What challenges might the leader expect when stepping into the interim role What are the top 23 goals you would have for the interim leader to accomplish Retention of our nursing staff that we have. Have good outcomes of our health survey to the best of our abilities Ensure the support for the staff residents and families.
