Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Head of Engineering (UX) to help us execute on the current product roadmap and build an engineering team. You have experience with software architecture design and cloudbased infrastructure configuration and are enthusiastic to launch a product from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the engineering strategy that aligns with the vision.
- Develop data analytics and visualization tools backend operations and frontend UX.
- Build an engineering and data science team.
- Evaluate 3rd party systems and solutions and develop business case for build/buy decisions.
- Manage technology budget.
Requirements
- 5 years functional experience in Software Engineering and/or Data Science.
- 2 years domain experience working in/with the commercial finance or lending industry (directly or indirectly).
- Data science experience particularly as it relates to risk and loan portfolio management.
- You have deep knowledge of platform technologies.
- You learn new technologies quickly and can comfortably and effectively discuss the tradeoffs and benefits of various approaches with business partners.
- You re committed to collaboration and you are able to work well with other business units to build iterative solutions that continuously deliver value.
- Experience with failure (e.g. product launch) and ability to course correct.
- Familiarity with loan management systems like ABL soft factor fox etc preferred.
