Job Description

  • Troubleshoot install and repair all aspects of Automatic Robotic and CNC machinery. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines Setting Presses Automated Welders CNC Grinders Robots and other complex machinery. 
  • Duties may include:  supporting all aspects of equipment and machinery; including PLC programming and program modifications programming of HMIs and servo controllers.  
  • Jog and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots.
  • Teach / Touch up Robot positions to correct material handling paths.
  • Plan and install primary and secondary controls diagnose electrical/electronic problems replace or repair parts detect and replace defective control modules test units for proper function and make final adjustments. 
  • Prepare wiring diagram to record changes. 
  • Make mechanical repairs as necessary. Some work and repairs require mechanical repairs and all techs do this no matter of pay grade.
  • Support the daily continuous improvement activities.
  • Enter all work completed / in progress into SAP work order system.
  • Any Other duties as deemed necessary to support production.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of four years experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems PLCs CNC Controls Robots PCs and HMIs.
  • Working knowledge of prints schematics and equipment documentation for installation modification and repair of production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.  
  • Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels.
  • Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE.  This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel.
  • Good computer problem solving and interpersonal skills. 
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Communication Teamwork and strong customer service skills.
  • Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
