Job Description
- Troubleshoot install and repair all aspects of Automatic Robotic and CNC machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines Setting Presses Automated Welders CNC Grinders Robots and other complex machinery.
- Duties may include: supporting all aspects of equipment and machinery; including PLC programming and program modifications programming of HMIs and servo controllers.
- Jog and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots.
- Teach / Touch up Robot positions to correct material handling paths.
- Plan and install primary and secondary controls diagnose electrical/electronic problems replace or repair parts detect and replace defective control modules test units for proper function and make final adjustments.
- Prepare wiring diagram to record changes.
- Make mechanical repairs as necessary. Some work and repairs require mechanical repairs and all techs do this no matter of pay grade.
- Support the daily continuous improvement activities.
- Enter all work completed / in progress into SAP work order system.
- Any Other duties as deemed necessary to support production.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of four years experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems PLCs CNC Controls Robots PCs and HMIs.
- Working knowledge of prints schematics and equipment documentation for installation modification and repair of production equipment.
- Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.
- Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels.
- Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE. This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel.
- Good computer problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Communication Teamwork and strong customer service skills.
- Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
