Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst plays a crucial role within the financial management team, tasked with conducting detailed financial analysis. They support the team in preparing forecasting and planning files, as well as aiding in the creation of management packs and Key Performance Indicators(KPIs). This position involves collaborating with team members on business partnerships, preparing monthly cost center packs, and providing support in creating presentations.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct basic financial analysis to understand the company's performance, identify simple trends, and support decision-making processes.
  • Forecasting & Planning Assistance: Assist in gathering data for forecasting and planning, helping to input information into templates and supporting basic budgeting tasks.
  • Management Pack Support: Provide support in organizing documents for management packs, including basic data entry and formatting tasks.
  • Business Partnership Assistance: Collaborating with teams, they help gather information and provide basic financial analysis to support business partnerships and project evaluations.
  • Monthly Cost Center Support: Responsible for basic tasks in preparing monthly cost center reports, such as data collection and simple analysis.
  • Presentation Aid: Assist in creating presentations by organizing slides and inputting basic financial data, supporting the communication of financial information to internal stakeholders.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CMA.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and advanced Excel skills.
Clear communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to stakeholders.
2 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles.
Analytical Thinking:

Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in financial modeling and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
Strategic Mindset:

Ability to align financial plans with broader business objectives.
Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial insights clearly.
Leadership:

Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities to guide and develop a high-performing team.
Problem-Solving:

Capability to address challenges and provide innovative financial solutions.
