For lead role: 9 years of software development experience with at least 5 years in a lead or senior
engineer role focused on network management and orchestration in the WiFi domain..
Must to have WiFi standards like 802.11n
Certifications (Preferred): CWP (Certified Wireless Professional) Kubernetes (K8S)
Certification Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) or other relevant
networking certifications
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead QA efforts for network management and orchestration solutions for Wireless LAN (Wi
Fi) devices.
Design develop and execute automated test scripts using Python and modern test automation
frameworks.
Drive test automation for functional integration performance and regression testing across
wireless network management solutions.
Collaborate with development network engineering and product teams to ensure product
quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Design and implement automated test suites to validate key features such as WiFi
management API integrations and system performance.
Troubleshoot complex issues including wireless network failures connectivity problems and
integration bugs. Drive root cause analysis and guide remediation efforts.
Ensure integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines for faster more reliable releases.
Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices for test automation performance testing
and wireless network validation.
Skills & Expertise:
Programming & Automation: Advanced knowledge of Python for developing test
automation frameworks and scripts using tools like pytest unit test or custom solutions.
Testing Expertise: Solid experience in manual and automated testing with a focus on wireless
LAN management API testing and performance validation for distributed systems.
WiFi Standards & Protocols: WiFi 5 (802.11ac) WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and WiFi 6E
(802.11ax in the 6GHz band): Strong understanding of these WiFi standards and their
implications for network management coverage performance and scalability.
WiFi 4 (802.11n): Knowledge of legacy WiFi standards and their compatibility with newer
WiFi technologies.
WiFi protocols: Expertise in IEEE 802.11 protocols including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax as well
as 802.11r (fast BSS transition) 802.11k (radio resource management) and 802.11v (wireless
network management) for optimizing client roaming load balancing and network
optimization.
WiFi Security Protocols: Familiarity with WEP WPA/WPA2 and WPA3 encryption
methods including PSK (PreShared Key) 802.1X enterprise authentication and RADIUS
(Remote Authentication DialIn User Service) for secure network access.
API Development & Testing: Experience in designing and testing RESTful APIs for wireless
controllers access points and integrations with thirdparty network equipment.
Performance Testing: Conduct stress load and scalability testing for largescale wireless
deployments ensuring the system can handle high volumes of devices and data traffic
efficiently.
CI/CD & DevOps: Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines automated testing frameworks
and deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI) for rapid and reliable software delivery.
Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum Kanban) and
collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
