Overview
As the Head of ICU and Critical Care at Unique Hospital in Dwarka Delhi you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and strategic direction for the ICU and critical care units. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of patient care leading a multidisciplinary team and implementing best practices and protocols to optimize patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the ICU and critical care units including patient care staffing and resource management
- Develop and implement clinical protocols policies and procedures to ensure evidencebased highquality patient care
- Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals including physicians nurses and support staff to maintain a positive and collaborative work culture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards patient safety measures and quality assurance initiatives
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings case reviews and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery
- Collaborate with other department heads and hospital leadership to optimize resource utilization and interdisciplinary care coordination
- Participate in the recruitment training and professional development of ICU and critical care staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Participate in strategic planning budgeting and resource allocation for the ICU and critical care units
- Stay updated on medical advancements technologies and best practices in critical care medicine
- Address patient and family concerns and ensure effective communication and support throughout the care process
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers and community resources to facilitate seamless transitions of care for patients
- Respond to medical emergencies provide clinical expertise and support the clinical team during critical situations
- Collaborate with research and educational initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of the ICU and critical care team
- Maintain accurate records reports and statistical data related to patient care and unit operations
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent degree in Critical Care Medicine Anesthesiology or Intensive Care
- Board certification in Critical Care Medicine or relevant specialty
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Delhi
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in critical care with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex patient cases and critical care procedures
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team
- Sound knowledge of current best practices guidelines and evidencebased protocols in critical care medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients families and healthcare professionals
- Strong problemsolving abilities with a focus on delivering efficient and effective patient care
- Proficiency in utilizing healthcare technology and electronic medical records systems
- Commitment to continuous learning professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to critical care units
- Experience in academic or research activities related to critical care medicine is preferred
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts and respond to emergencies as required
