Role Overview
We are looking for an empathetic and goaloriented Academic Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding prospective and current students in choosing the right programs providing career advice and ensuring a smooth academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Counseling: Provide personalized guidance to prospective students on DCOILs academic programs course offerings fees curriculum and prerequisites.
- Admissions Assistance: Guide students through the admission process including application submissions interviews and document verification to ensure a seamless experience.
- Lead FollowUp and Conversion: Engage with potential leads and inquiries employing effective lead conversion techniques to drive student enrollments.
- Presentations & Online Counseling: Conduct engaging presentations online counseling sessions and facetoface meetings to highlight the features benefits and career opportunities associated with DCOIL s courses.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of student counseling sessions followup actions and feedback in accordance with data management best practices.
- Career Counseling: Offer career advice on job opportunities certifications and upskilling relevant to the analytics industry empowering students to achieve their professional goals.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing and admissions teams to drive enrollments meet student intake targets and support organizational objectives.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest trends in education and the analytics industry to provide accurate insightful guidance to students.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture positive relationships with students parents and educational partners to enhance student engagement and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree (Master s preferred).
- 3 years of experience in academic counselling career counselling or a similar role.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and empathy toward students needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office and student management systems (preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with academic programs and career pathways.
- Experience in handling student queries through phone email or facetoface interactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Multilingual skills (preferred but not required).
