Overview
The SAP SAC Planning Consultant plays a critical role in driving the organization s financial planning and analysis through the implementation and maintenance of SAP Analytics Cloud solutions. This position is essential for aligning business objectives with effective data management and analytics capabilities. By leveraging SAP SAC tools the consultant will facilitate improved decisionmaking processes enhance forecasting and implement performance tracking systems that directly influence organizational strategy. The consultant will be expected to collaborate with crossfunctional teams translating business requirements into technical solutions. Additionally the role demands a proactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to communicate complex information simply and effectively. As organizations increasingly rely on datadriven insights the SAP SAC Planning Consultant will be integral to unlocking the full potential of analytics in strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement planning models using SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Optimize existing SAC planning processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create detailed financial forecasts using data analytics and reporting tools.
- Design and implement dashboards and visualization for better insights.
- Perform data mapping and integration with other SAP systems.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas of improvement within current planning methodologies.
- Provide training and support to users on SAC tools and functionalities.
- Assist in data cleansing and validation processes to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to suggest actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper system integration and performance.
- Create documentation for processes user guides and training manuals.
- Coordinate with finance departments for budget planning and analysis.
- Stay uptodate with SAC enhancements and new features for continuous improvement.
- Support project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Business Computer Science or related field.
- 46 years of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud or similar analytics tool.
- Experience in financial planning budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling practices.
- Strong analytical skills with a problemsolving mindset.
- Handson experience with Excel including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Understanding of business processes and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience in project management methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodology is a plus.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of other SAP modules (e.g. SAP ERP) is advantageous.
- Experience in user training and support.
- Certifications in SAP Analytics Cloud are a plus.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies and tools.
