Job Description
SAP Basis Administrator
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support SAP systems including installations upgrades and migrations.
- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning measures.
- Manage database activities and ensure a high level of availability.
- Oversee user administration including roles and authorizations.
- Implement backup and recovery solutions to secure data integrity.
- Resolve system issues researching and identifying root causes.
- Coordinate system patches and fixes to maintain system health.
- Manage SAP Transport Management System and monitor changes across systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compatibility of SAP with other systems.
- Document system configurations processes and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in capacity planning and forecasting for system resources.
- Develop and maintain system security policies and access controls.
- Conduct system audits to comply with security and performance standards.
- Provide technical support and training to users as required.
- Stay updated on SAP innovations and best practices to enhance system performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Strong knowledge of database systems specifically SAP HANA Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager functionalities.
- Proficient in backup recovery and disaster recovery processes.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols relevant to SAP.
- Knowledge of SAPrelated programming languages (e.g. ABAP) is a plus.
- Experience in using monitoring tools for system performance analysis.
- Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and SAP products.
- Relevant SAP certifications (e.g. SAP Certified Technology Associate) preferred.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS Azure) is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven track record of successful project implementation in SAP environments.
