Job Description
To manage the flow of goods and services through a company including planning sourcing purchasing and delivery. They work closely with other departments such as sales and quality assurance to ensure that the supply chain meets the companys needs.
Major responsibilities of a supply chain coordinator :
Responsibilities
- Planning: Developing plans for procurement warehousing transportation staffing distribution and training
- Purchasing: Creating purchase orders following up with vendors and ensuring the quality of purchased parts
- Inventory management: Developing processes to ensure adequate inventory to support growth and demand spikes
- Negotiating: Negotiating rates with carriers to ensure the best rates for the company
- Tracking: Tracking consignments and monitoring work in progress
- Reporting: Preparing management reports and analyzing statistical data
- Client relations: Developing and maintaining good client relationships
- Compliance: Observing and following all ISO and health and safety compliances
Qualifications
Bachelors in Supply chain Management Export import OR B.Tech
