Key Responsibilities:
Inverter Evaluation & Analysis
- Conduct technical evaluations and comparisons of different inverter models to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with our PV systems.
- Understand inverter characteristics including efficiency reliability and integration with SCADA and other communication systems.
SCADA & Communication Systems
- Ensure proper integration of inverters with SCADA systems and communication channels for realtime monitoring and control.
- Work closely with the SCADA team to establish robust communication protocols and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Solar Module Knowledge & DC Systems
- Apply technical knowledge of solar PV modules and arrays including design parameters performance and degradation factors.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of String Combiner Boxes (SCBs) and ensure seamless connectivity with inverters.
PV System Design & Layouting
- Use PVsyst and other relevant software for system simulation energy yield assessments and design optimization.
- Create and evaluate detailed layout designs that maximize energy production while considering site conditions shading and inverter placement.
System Compliance & Standards
- Ensure that all DC engineering designs and installations meet industry standards codes and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Compliance team to conduct inspections and quality checks.
Skills And Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related branch with at least 10 years of overall experience.
- 5 years of experience in DC system engineering within the solar industry with a strong focus on inverter technology and system layout.
- Handson experience with SCADA systems PVsyst and communication protocols in solar PV plants.
- Proficient in PVsyst and other relevant software for solar PV simulation and design.
- Indepth understanding of inverter technologies solar modules SCBs and DC system components.
- Familiarity with layout design tools and CAD software is an advantage.
