Job Title: Financial Analyst Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Finance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. A good understanding of system interfaces of the underlying transactions flowing from the subledgers to the General ledger is required alongwith an advanced level of proficiency in Excel. This role involves identifying and driving process efficiencies & inhouse simplification/automation of existing processes (including the ability to write and maintain macros.).
You will be responsible for GL Accounting Financial Reporting and maintaining Budget controls in the system. Whilst ensuring accuracy & integrity of the financial data you will also be a change agent who will identify and recommend automations & implement changes as necessary in the financial processes. The role requires a mix of accounting expertise and the ability to streamline financial processes using Excel tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare and oversee general ledger entries and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare review and analyse monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts as per Management inputs.
- Work cross functionally with Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Treasury Budget controls and nonfinance teams to recommend improved ways of working.
- Excel Automation & Macros:
- Design and implement Excelbased automation tools to streamline accounting and reporting workflows.
- Write modify and maintain Excel macros to improve data processing efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop custom Excel reports and dashboards for senior leadership to monitor financial performance.
- Use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to automate repetitive tasks and create complex financial models.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate accounting and reporting processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to improve data quality and reporting systems.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial software or tools including training staff on Excelbased solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CA or equivalent professional accounting certification is preferred.
Experience / Other skills:
- 68 years of experience in accounting along with proven track record of leading & implementing simplification/automations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros VBA pivot tables and complex formulas).
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills with an executive presence.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to take ownership & be result oriented.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
