Overview
The Associate Editor Print plays a pivotal role in the editorial team ensuring that all written content meets the highest standards of quality and coherence before publication. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and voice of the publication whether it s a magazine newsletter or other print medium. By collaborating with writers designers and other stakeholders the Associate Editor shapes the final product contributing to engaging storytelling that resonates with readers. The ideal candidate possesses strong editing skills an eye for detail and a deep understanding of the audience which will guide their decisions on content selection and presentation. This role not only supports the editorial vision but also enhances the publications reputation. The Associate Editor will uphold deadlines while fostering positive relationships within the team by efficiently managing & leading the team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and Manage the entire Editorial Content Delivery for Print and Online Magazine The Retail Jeweller and Online in India and Retail Jeweller Middle East (Job Based in Mumbai)
2. Write Cover Stories and Feature articles and meet / call on phone top leaders of the Gem and Jewellery industry like Owners CEOs etc and take oneonone interviews and create insightful content. Read the magazine here
3 Manage team of inhouse content writers Source content Edit Articles Proof read and ensure errorfree Print and Online content.
4 Travel to attend b2b shows and Awards / Conference events in India and Middle East to meet people and develop content. Support all our own proprietary events press releases and online content for sponsors / marketing.
5.Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely publication of magazines every bimonthly.
Experience:
- Candidates who have done their education in Journalism / English Literature with 10 years experience of Managing Print B2B Magazines from its conceptualization till the time it goes for printing along with leading & managing a team of writers.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Selfmotivated enthusiastic and resultoriented.
- Ability to display super initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage the editorial calendar deadlines by ensuring timely publication of magazines every bimonthly.
Monthly salary would be between 60000 to 80000 per month depending upon the relevant work experience of the candidates & is an onsite full time job & the person should be comfortable to travel to Kurla location.
