Overview
The position of BAMS RMO (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery Resident Medical Officer) in Solan Himachal Pradesh plays a pivotal role in the healthcare setting specializing in Ayurvedic medicine. As an RMO the practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care including diagnosis treatment and patient management focusing on holistic healing practices. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and Ayurvedic assessments of patients.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans based on Ayurvedic principles.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Provide holistic treatment options including herbal medicines dietary recommendations and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate integrated patient care.
- Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options promoting active participation in their health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures in the healthcare setting.
- Participate in community health programs to promote Ayurvedic practices.
- Assist in organizing health workshops and awareness campaigns.
- Stay updated on advancements in Ayurvedic medicine and integrate new practices into patient care.
- Work actively in patient admissions discharges and followup care.
- Facilitate consultations with senior doctors and specialists when required.
- Implement and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage patient queries and provide necessary support and guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the State Medical Council for Ayurvedic practitioners.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a clinical setting preferably in a hospital or outpatient environment.
- Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals and therapeutic protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
- Proficient in local languages spoken in Solan for effective patient communication.
- Keen understanding of public health initiatives and community health education.
- Skills in crisis management and patient counseling.
- Strong commitment to patient care and holistic wellness.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
