Sales Engineer GM Account
Remote (Based out of Troy Michigan)
$130000 Base Car Allowance Performance Bonus

About the Company:
Our client is a leading Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry specializing in advanced solutions for OEMs. Known for their innovative technologies and strong partnerships they are seeking a driven Sales Engineer to manage their General Motors (GM) account.

Position Summary:
As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for managing and growing the GM account leveraging your technical expertise and customerfocused approach to drive revenue. Collaborating with crossfunctional teams youll play a key role in delivering tailored solutions that meet GMs unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for GM building and maintaining strong relationships with key decisionmakers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the GM account to drive sales growth.
  • Provide technical consultation to customers aligning solutions with their engineering and production needs.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering R&D and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisionmaking.
  • Negotiate contracts pricing and terms in alignment with company goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to showcase the companys value proposition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial or related field preferred).
  • Proven track record in technical sales account management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with metal forming cold forming or stamping is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and Tier 1 supplier operations.
  • Exceptional communication negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying connected with the team.
