Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager will be pivotal in driving the companys growth in Vietnams crossborder ecommerce payments sector. This role involves acquiring highvalue eCommerce merchants identifying growth opportunities and collaborating with industry partners to enhance the companys market presence. The role contributes directly to revenue growth and market share in a rapidly expanding and competitive industry.

How We Measure Success:

  • Achieve a defined number of new highvalue eCommerce merchants signed each quarter.

  • Increase the clients share of wallet with key merchants within 12 months.

  • Drive customer retention and profitability through broader service adoption.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead outbound business development initiatives to acquire highvalue eCommerce merchants in Vietnam.

  • Identify develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities driving speed and efficiency in conversions.

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with shopping cart platforms payment orchestration platforms and industry bodies to build the companys brand visibility and client referrals.

  • Take a proactive approach to identify new customer segments and verticals using an entrepreneurial mindset to pursue untapped markets.

  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including Lead Generation Partnerships Marketing and Customer Service to achieve shared objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting the adoption of broader payment solutions.

  • Track and analyze competitor activities customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Represent the company at industry events conferences and networking opportunities.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices for business development strategies.


Requirements

Musthave Requirements

  • Education & Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.

  • Professional Experience
    • 35 years of experience in business development sales or partnerships within the payments industry especially in eCommerce payments and acquiring solutions.

    • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding business development goals and KPIs.

    • Strong background in pipeline management lead generation and structured deal negotiations.

  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and lead generation platforms.

    • Ability to understand and articulate payments technology with a technical sales mindset.

NicetoHave Requirements

  • Experience working with Payment Service Providers Acquirers Gateways or Card Networks.

  • Experience with direct sales to small businesses engaged in crossborder trade.

  • Exposure to data analytics and business intelligence tools.

Benefits and Details

  • Working Location: Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi Vietnam. Hybrid work arrangements may be available.

  • Working Time: Fulltime role with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

  • Employment Type: Fulltime permanent role.
