Known for handling cases involving fraud extracontractual liability and intricate coverage disputes the firm represents Fortune 500 insurance underwriters in state and federal courts nationwide.
About the Role
The firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team. This role requires at least three years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The position is not an insurance defense role but involves independently and collaboratively managing a range of litigation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft persuasive motions.
- Represent clients in court proceedings trials and appeals.
- Conduct depositions and other discoveryrelated activities.
- Provide legal counsel on complex insurance coverage matters.
- Work collaboratively with the litigation team on case strategy and execution.
Requirements
- Strong legal research writing and motion practice skills.
- Proven experience in trials depositions and appellate briefing and arguments.
- Top academic credentials (generally in the top third of the law school class).
- Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars (admission to additional jurisdictions is a plus).
- Exceptional analytical problemsolving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
