Job Description
The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Maseras research Group. The position will be funded by the project Explorando la mecanoqumica y la fotocatlisis con las herramientas de la catlisis homognea computacional (MECHAPHOTOCOMP) with reference Ref. PIDNBI00 of the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia Innovacin y Universidades.

ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the group of Prof. Feliu Maseras.
Responsibilities:
- Performing DFT calculations on the thermodynamics and barriers of chemical reactions.
- Construction of databases of results and processing of them with statistical tools.
- Interaction with other researchers inside and outside the research group.
- Creation of scientific reports and presentations and collaboration in the writing of scientific publications.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry Computational Chemistry or similar.
- Experience in computational chemistry Gaussian or similar code.
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Valued qualities:
- Experience in computational homogeneous catalysis
- Experience in the preparation of scripts in phyton.
- Good communication skills.
We offer:
- A temporary 3year fulltime employment contract.
- Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales.
- Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
- Incorporation: February 1st 2025

Selection Process
ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:
- Preselection: The preselection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs. This phase is meritbased.
- Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
- Offer Letter:Once the successful candidate is selected the People Unit will extend a Job Offer specifying the start day salary and overall job conditions.
