Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Family Support Worker on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 18.95 23.39 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking Family Support with Families and Children in Need of Targeted Support
- The post holder will as part of a multiagency team undertake home visits (which may be followed up by work in the Childrens Centre or further visits) for families referred by Social Care and/or Police to the Centre via the MASH. These families will typically have additional and/or complex needs (often including domestic violence worklessness child neglect and substance misuse).
- The Family Support worker may also upon the invitation of the social worker support (but not lead) statutory social care led casework with young children and families.
- Attending statutory meetings such as but not limited to Child Protection Conferences Core Group meetings and CIN review meetings.
- Identify and escalate cases to statutory services when safeguarding or child protection arise under the directive of the safeguarding lead.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an enhanced DBS
