Job Description

Juicyway was started by Ife and Justin. We processed our first (nine dollar) transaction in November 2021. $1 billion processed after and we have come to terms with our true role in enabling the African business to make compliant global payments cheap and fast.

As we come out of stealth we are convinced that we are the vanguard of a new payments paradigm designed for Africans but global in its reach. Africa currently produces less than 80% of what it consumes. Foreign currency for imports is therefore in high demand by African merchants but the banks and the correspondent banking system were not designed to serve them in the internet era where trade is no longer limited to commodities ( or primarily dominated by governments and multinationals). Despite a proliferation of payment solutions in recent years a combination of fragmentation in the system and FX liquidity constraints remain prohibitive and effectivelyand unnecessarilycut off disenfranchised businesses and individuals from global trade completely. Until now.

Juicyway is leveraging the highest quality liquidity in the market partnerships regulation and powerful real time shifts in financial technology to bridge these gaps in liquidity and services for Africans. We believe that enabling frictionless global payments will make the life of the average business owner on the continent better. Our customers agree: in the first 10 months of our existence we processed more than $1 billion serving only 30 businesses and with no business development efforts. We has tapped into something real. Now we want to share our platform with more Africans who can benefit from it and must assemble the right team for scale.

Tasks

The FIAT Exchange Business Lead will be instrumental in driving Juices growth in the fiat currency exchange market. This role requires a deep understanding of FX markets African financial ecosystems and the needs of businesses engaged in global trade. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer the FIAT Exchange Business Lead will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow our fiat exchange business achieving revenue targets and ensuring the seamless operation of the exchange desk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Business Strategy & Development:
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue growth client acquisition and market penetration for the fiat exchange business.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships that align with Juices strategic objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy and product development.
  1. Revenue Management:
  • Set and achieve revenue targets for the fiat exchange business unit.
  • Manage and optimize the exchange desk operations to ensure profitability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients partners and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for highvalue clients ensuring excellent service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies for client retention and growth focusing on toptier accounts.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead coach and develop a highperforming team of sales and business development professionals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence ownership and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure the team has the resources and support needed to achieve their targets and personal development goals.
  1. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee daytoday operations of the fiat exchange desk ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Implement processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing and Compliance teams to support gotomarket strategies and product enhancements.
  1. Reporting & Analytics:
  • Provide regular updates to the Chief Revenue Officer and executive team on business performance market conditions and strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive decisionmaking and optimize business performance.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management providing accurate forecasts and reports.
  1. Crossfunctional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams to develop marketing materials promotional campaigns and product roadmaps that support the fiat exchange business.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective resource allocation.
  1. Regulatory & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to maintain a robust risk management framework and address any compliance issues.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay abreast of industry developments market dynamics and regulatory changes to proactively adapt business strategies.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in business processes products and service delivery.
  1. Additional Duties:
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the growth and success of Juice.

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior sales business development or leadership role within the FX or financial services or Banking industry.

  • Deep understanding of fiat currency exchange FX liquidity and the African financial ecosystem.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities with a track record of building and leading highperforming teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resultsoriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry.
