Job Description
Our company is seeking a skilled and dedicated CCTV Specialist to join our team and uphold the highest standards of security and surveillance in our organisation. In this role you will be responsible for the operation maintenance and optimisation of our CCTV systems to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal communication with the operations control room and external communication with agencies regarding CCTVrelated matters.
- Supervise the operations control room ensuring all technical equipment is functioning and coordinating procurement of necessary supplies services and repairs.
- Perform daily checks to ensure cameras are operational clean and recording properly.
- Verify that all cameras are properly connected and correctly labeled in the monitoring system (e.g. AXIS Camera Station Milestone Hikvision).
- Diagnose and resolve issues with CCTV systems implementing modifications as needed.
- Install configure and manage CCTV software and systems including applications such as Milestone and AXIS Camera Station.
- Conduct regular maintenance according to the master plan and provide training for CCTV operators including system manuals and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Network and Storage teams to maintain secure connections and ensure data integrity.
- Provide 24/7 emergency support for CCTV system failures process work requests and manage CCTV client software on desktop systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Native or fluent English speaker (C1 level) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in Electrical Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering.
- Proficiency in CCTV management and monitoring software.
- Proven experience in similar roles including the full installation and configuration of CCTV systems.
- Strong troubleshooting expertise for CCTV systems.
- Experience working with Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Milestone or similar CCTV management applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of storage systems such as SAN NAS and DAS is desirable.
- Proficient in LAN administration tasks including user management and backups.
- Experience with server and storage hardware (e.g. HP Dell EMC Blade systems) is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
