Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction observation of construction activities.
  • Perform basic field and/or lab testing if assigned.
  • Maintain a field book in accordance with project procedures.
  • Perform measurements of construction work performed and quantity calculations of pay items.
  • Prepare inspector s daily reports and other project documentation as required by the project procedures.
  • Report on progress of work including technical issues status of work remaining to be done and any noted deficiencies.
  • Completion of assigned tasks within the allotted schedule and budget.
  • Follow applicable project procedures.
  • Review plans specifications and submittals relating to assigned work.
  • Comply with all project and company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain companyowned vehicle or other equipment assigned for use on the project.
  • Perform inspection and testing services in accordance with contract documents.
  • Apply construction fundamentals AASHTO/ASTM and DOT/Agency standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of construction instruments/tools methods of measurement and payment appropriate software and applicable codes and standards.



Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; AAS degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain required certifications.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver s license held for a minimum of one year and a safe motor vehicle record meeting company standards. If under 21 years of age a clean motor vehicle record without any moving violations or chargeable accidents.
Open to all qualified transitioning activeduty U.S. service members both officer and enlisted of any rank and branch especially those with previous military recruiting experience. Must have at least 90 days of active duty service remaining before the date of separation and have obtained approval or be in the approval process from the unit/command.
