- Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations.

- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Training and Awareness:
- Organize and deliver safety training programs and drills for employees (e.g. fire safety first aid emergency evacuation).
- Promote safety awareness through campaigns and communication.

Incident Management:
- Investigate workplace accidents injuries or nearmisses.
- Prepare reports and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Monitoring and Audits:
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents inspections and training.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.

Emergency Response:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with external agencies (fire department medical teams) during emergencies.
Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health Safety Environmental Science or related field.
- Certification in safety management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH OSHA) is highly desirable.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a safety officer or similar role.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and data analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in emergencies.
Work Environment:
- Regular site visits and inspections.
- Exposure to physical hazards mitigated by PPE.
